91. Adorn - Miguel
It took me a while to fully appreciate this song, which is why it is ranked so low. However, it successfully blends genres in a way that is listenable (not grating to the ears), which we can commend Miguel for achieving. He also aptly chose to use a metaphor appropriate to his target audience: “Let my love adorn you,” which gives a visual appeal of diamonds and other items of lavish luxury. Even though he’s already on his second album, he still has a bright future ahead of him, and his ability to move in a forward direction without falling into a sophomore slump like some artists have recently makes it all the more impressive. (This is Miguel’s only appearance in the countdown.)

I like Adorn, even if it's severely overrated. And PoC too.

Ehh, I feel it does what it's intended to. It's not a masterpiece at all, but I still like it to a degree.
As for Princess Of China, it's not amazing either, but with a Rihanna collaboration, it really had everything going for it to be an easy hit.

90. Apartment - Young The Giant
I didn’t like this song as much as I did with “Cough Syrup” last year, but it’s still a good track. It’s certainly mellow enough to be relaxing, without necessarily being somniferous, and it’s quite relatable too, which is why I bring in “Apartment” at number 90. (This is Young The Giant’s only appearance in the countdown.)

89. Your Body - Christina Aguilera
Now don’t get me wrong, I like Christina. But this… Really wasn’t the right song for her to stage a comeback with, and it shows, with it having a lower Hot 100 peak than “Not Myself Tonight.” She had everything in place for her to run out of the gate with a smash hit, but “Your Body” fell extremely flat. For starters, even for a generic dance hit, the song’s beat was too slow. Not only that, but her belting vocals are damaging to the ears AND her own vocal folds. I know the melismatic belting is her signature thing and all, but she needs to bring that down before she destroys her voice. It’s made her notorious, more than anything else.
I could go on and on, but this is enough. (This is Christina Aguilera's only appearance in the countdown.)

Adorn, Birthday Song, Your Body, and WHYB
I totally agree with your opinion on WHYB. I loved it when the album came out, but I got sick of it when it became a single.

88. No Lie - 2 Chainz featuring Drake
Here for a second appearance, 2 Chainz delivers yet another piece of catchy rap. Fueled by an irresistible hook by Drake, an already noteworthy rapper in his own right, “No Lie” earns its placement as a representative of music in 2012. Its exceptional performance on Urban radio helped to launch his already growing presence in the community and enabled him to grab a number one album. (This is the second of 2 Chainz’s four appearances in the countdown. Also, it is the first of Drake’s two appearances in the countdown.)

87. Spectrum - Zedd featuring Matthew Koma
I had actually been paying a little attention to Zedd before it was officially announced that he would be working with Lady Gaga on her third LP. What initially exposed me to him though, were his remixes of “Born This Way” and “Marry The Night,” which led me to look into another song by him, called “Shave It.” This song, however, served as a jumpstart toward his mainstream career, and it has received a lot of praise from radio hosts, including Ryan Seacrest. I think that with this song, and others that he has produced (for himself and other artists), he will be able to make a name for himself in the dance world. (This is the only appearance on the countdown for both Zedd and Matthew Koma.)

86. Ladi Dadi - Steve Aoki featuring Wynter Gordon
I think both of these artists are severely underrated. They each have exceptional material that I think would do well if exposed to broader audiences. With that in mind, however, I would like to point out that this was a fabulous collaboration that failed to make the impact that it truly deserved. Steve Aoki did a great job producing this record, and Wynter sounds just as fantastic on it as she did on “Dirty Talk.” (This is the only appearance for both Steve Aoki and Wynter Gordon)

Adorn is a night anthem tbh.
I completely agree about WHYB. Barely a year old & already aging. I'll blame Dr Luke.
