Yes, RI is awful but, imo, even worse is when they have two returning players, one in each tribe. God, it just becomes a one person show, ALWAYS. I'm fine with returning players as long as all the CAST is, half the cast (like FvF is just fine), but two/three is the PITS. I'm just so glad the last two seasons have been good, people are actually interested in Survivor again! I never left, but on previous seasons the threads were abandoned, this time it wasn't.

Some minor info
Art Director Jordan Ferrer was on Tuesday's EW radio show. As was John Kirhoffer Challenges Producer
Ferrer says that art and TC will have a Mayan theme. TC resembles Tikal, the famous Guatemalan Mayan Ruin.
It will have an open roof again, like last season's, so tribes can get rained on at TC.
- There are a few ocean water challenges but the surf still is a problem
- Weather already killed one substantial water challenge because the surf was too rough and was knocking around the set pieces too much
In Kirhoffer's interview:
- The interview was in the challenges production office because Kirhoffer referenced the white boards on the walls that have challenges listed with pertinent information
- From the conversation it sounded like many of the challenges have playful rock-n-roll names... Another Brick in the Wall, Almost Framus, Bo Diddley, Temple of the Dog, My Poor Brain
Other scoops revealed by Dalton and Jessica:
There is a day 0 for the 2 person teams to bond and get a feel for survival.
Lots of banter between Dalton Ross and Jessica Shaw. They had rehearsed the challenge with other press and dream teamers. It involves players from a tribe each performing a certain leg of the challenge. Jessica did a leg that involved something similar to skeeball, at which she sucked. She was throwing overhand instead of underhanded. Dalton's leg involved dexterity and balance. The challenge was eventually tweaked a lot to make it harder before the tribes ran it.
There are 4-5 teams that viewers will totally get that they go together, (meaning they look very similar).
Some kind of major event happens while Dalton and Jessica where visiting the camps. Player scramble to resolve the issue. Dalton said it will definitely make the show.
The other tribe was just laying around their shelter at camp talking about players from other seasons. One player who would be thought to do good was a loner and not in the mix. One woman who they thought would be in bad shape was doing great.
This is all from MayanSun on Survivorsucks.

New rumored cast
I've heard that one of the guys on this coming season is Clay Aiken's ex boyfriend Reed Kelly. He's a Broadway actor/dancer/model. He is going to be on with his current boyfriend Josh. He and Clay remain good friends and each have other relationships now.
This is Reed and his boyfriend Josh:
He posted on twitter that he wouldn't be tweeting this summer so it could be true.
His also hasn't posted anything since May 24th.
Both of their last tweets:
https://twitter.com/thereedkelly/sta...02894184624128
https://twitter.com/joshuacanfield/s...55189527216129
It seems very likely they're on.
They're a gay couple

The only super must-see seasons are the ones where Queen Parvati made the finals, and you've seen those.
Pearl Islands is the other most popular one, and has 2x (1x deserving) winner Sandra.
China has super-popular winner Todd, and Micronesia finalist (and deserving loser to Parvati) Amanda.

Well, tbh, I always felt that Parv should have won HvV. I mean, I'm totally happy with Sandra.goddess, but Parvati.queen played an awesome game. The ultimate robbed goddessa of HvV was Jerri, tho. She was 4 seconds away from the mill. Stil pressed about that.
|
Parvati reaped what she sowed. She made her bed by allying too tightly to the troll, and she had to lie in it at the finale. No sympathy for her. I liked her before that season, too, but I never will again.
Jerri was robbed, though, I'd have loved to see her finally win after all those years.

Neither her nor Sandra did much, but both would have been completely deserving winners sitting next to Russell and Parvati, simply for being the only one in the F3 to have made it there by not being a disgusting person.

No, Sandra played the game, but in a non-threatening/boring way, she did the best with what she had and that's why she deserved to win over Parvati and Russell. Jerri literally was along for the ride.
And how was Parvati a disgusting person?
