People saying Beyonce should make the list REALLY don't know Last.fm very well, do they? It's FILLED with pop haters and rock, alternative, active rock lovers. Beyonce would've been lucky to make it into the top 50.

Sorry I was just trying to defend Beyonce . When I first got to last.fm I was horrified by the ridiculously uneven playcounts too. ROCK and EURODANCE acts get so many scrobbles. Artists with crossover appeal, surprisingly, don't. Before he died Michael Jackson had only 25m scrobbles which were INCREDIBLY LOW compared to Madonna (40m), Britney (30m) or even Beyonce (17m) or Mariah (15k)

GaGa might be Top 5, she had 33 million plays and 800k listeners, since last year she was pratically with very few plays, she received a lot of plays....


I hope they will release the "Unwanted Scrobbles" this year, Gaga will top it, "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi" reigned almost all year at the top of the most deleted tracks, not to mention that "Just Dance" and "LoveGame" were also... Britney, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna were also extremely deleted, Guilty Pleasures anyone?

Something they actually listened to and was scrobbled but they didn't want to keep it shown as scrobbled on their last.fm profile page, therefore they delete that they played it.

It's not like Last.fm makes this list. It's the listeners of Last.fm. So the #1 artist deserves to be #1 because they had the most listeners on Last.fm.
