38. Cooly G - "He Said I Said"

Cooly G is a singer and DJ from the UK. I don't think many people have heard of her, but like the previous two artists, she also released a debut album this year. I thought the production was great, fantastic electronic music. If she put more time into things other than the production the record could have been much better.

I like the opener "He Said I Said" a lot. The beat is cool, and I love the overall sexy vibe. It kind of reminds me of something Katy B might do. I would've placed the track higher if it wasn't so repetitive.

It may not be the best, I didn't feel like listening to the record again. But I disagree that it's one of the worst.

I think it's a pretty good song.

I listened to the Trust song, I really liked it a lot, the kinda grunge-y vibe and the vocals. I'm gonna check out the album

the Cooly G song was really repetitive, the long ass intro actually had me going crazy (in a bad way) with just the same beat over and over again once the vocals kicked in, it wasn't that bad though, although not quite as exciting as I hoped it would be.

37. Of Monsters and Men - "Little Talks"

I'm not sure if this would be considered a 2011 song or not but the album came out in America this year and the song became popular this year so I'm including it on the list.

I like the sound of the trumpet or whatever instrument that is which borders between sounding happy and sad. I could do without the out of place feel of the word "****" in the song, but other than that, it's a nice tune.

36. Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - "Only In My Dreams"

An indie rock group that released an album called Mature Themes this year. I liked a few songs, particularly in the first half of the record. Apparently they already have a bunch of albums out but I just discovered them this year.

I thought "Only In My Dreams" was a standout. It's light and not really anything remarkable but it's nice to listen to.

39: Never heard of Trust before. Listening to the song now, I like it. It's pretty cool. Seems like something that would fit in a brooding scene in a video game or show.

38: Yep, don't know her either! It sounds like a really good opening song actually. I don't really get a Katy B feel from it, but it's okay! Not fantastic, but pretty good!

37: Ah, pretty good choice. The song is nice. My roommate and other friends got to see them live earlier this month, along with Jack White and Metric. Needless to say, I was pissed. But I do agree with the horn in it really pulling the song together.

36: Interesting name! Cute little song. Relaxing and not that repetitive.

finally a song I know Little Talks is such a cute little tune. it always makes me want to sing along and the folk-y feel to it makes it sound really refreshing and fun.

now let me listen to Only In My Dreams..
I like this. it has a very nice feel to it and I like the instrumentation, it sounds very light like a dream. I might check the album.
