Beyoncé's hits were the biggest between all females, so she still would have been #1.

Need to change the title and add poll tho. It makes Bey look desperate to get the throne while Taylor, Rihanna, Adele and Katy obviously above her.

well album sales are just a fraction of everything, but they can be significant if the person sells a lot.
plus, bey won the 2000s not the 90s so i dont know why you are bringing up artist who sold a lot of albums in the late 90s

I'm comparing to the the last decade end chart so he could see why his statement was wrong.
He said that selling albums is important to charting but the reality is that they contribute much less points than singles do, especially airplay. With airplay and streaming so high now, those will be the deciding factors this go around.
Think about this: Britney sold over 22M albums that decade and Bey sold a little more than 10M albums. Britney also had a higher tour gross. Britney also sold more physical singles and more digital singles. Beyonce had more airplay. Yet Beyonce topped the chart.
Right now, Rihanna is poised to take BB's decade-end chart unless they revamp their methodology. Airplay is stronger now as album sales have dropped and airplay regularly breaks 200M now (whereas breaking 50M was a feat in the early 2000s) and Rihanna rules radio play.

I think Taylor has more chances than Riri because she has both albums and singles success. Rihanna will be #2, Katy #3, Adele #4 (because she takes so long to release her albums) and Gaga #5.

No way. The Hot 100 has a massive weight, and her Hot 100 career this decade has been poor.

It's either going to be Adele or Taylor. Since they're both solid all round. Rihanna and Katy are lacking in some of the deciding factors. Beyoncé will definitely round up the top ten. Anyhow Bey snatched the title for the 2000s decade.

She hasn't had a dominant era in the 10s, so she's not really in the running right now. Top choices are Adele, Taylor, Katy, or Rihanna.

BB200 has little weight on their chart. Beyonce's rank was only #41 on the BB200 Artist of 2000s. However, because she was #2 Hot 100 Artist and BB weigh that heavily, she ranked at #4 (highest female). Rihanna, Katy, Pink, Adele, Taylor and Gaga have a much better Hot 100 run this decade than Bey.

#1 will be Adele if her next album is even half as successful as 21.

Who cares? Beyoncé is the only living popstar who has a loyal and stable fanbase right now. Even if Beyoncé never has a Top 40 hit ever again, she will still be able to tour and make money simply off her name and back catalogue. You can't say the same for others whose careers are up in the air right now. The other stars like Britney, Rihanna, and Taylor - Their fanbases aren't stable at all and are determined by the amount of current hits they have. If someone like Rihanna released an album with no obvious hits, her fans would disown her in a second and move on to the next. Even Adele, who had the biggest album of the decade so far, isn't guaranteed to have another successful album or successful singles in the future. I'd rather be in Beyoncé's position.

lol, it's not that the BB200 has little weight. They try to weigh the Hot 100 and BB200 equally (touring wasn't including in last decades calculations, but it definitely will this time, as will that "social 100" mess that they include in their year end charts now), it's just that Beyonce's Hot 100 success was that much more than Britney's BB200 success. And we really don't know how close they were, for all we know, they could've been neck and neck.
As for the question, no. lol. Bey has been successful this decade with the self-titled but 4 was a disappointment on all aspects. And single-wise, she won't even rank Top 20, lol.
Taylor has this locked up unless ADELE can pull another 21. Rihanna will be up there but Taylor's 4 biggest hits this decade completely dwarf Rihanna's (minus WFL). WANGBT, IKYWT, SIO, and BS >>> WFL, OG, Diamonds, LTWYL (she'll only get 30% credit). And Taylor has so many random hits b/c all her album tracks are constantly charting. And the album sales and touring isn't even a contest, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor could win this whole thing with album sales alone, that's how much of a lead she has.

Very much this is what we are heading for at the moment.
Bey is currently not in the running for the top 5 let alone #1.

You forgot about Stay. WFL is bigger than all of Taylor's singles, and Stay is only beaten by IKYWT. I'm pretty sure Diamonds, OG, WANGBT and SIO have all sold in the 3 million region but Rihanna's songs had more airplay and streaming
