I don't think it really has to do with lucky as much as it has to do with the type of stuff being put out. Obviously pop friendly, radio friendly music with a bunch of pop singers on it is going to fair better and be bigger than a bunch of hood rap songs by a white girl.
That has less to do with Iggy/Debbie than the state of music in general right now but that's neither here nor there. I agree she does seem a little pressed but I honestly can't blame her for being a little bothered by it. Especially if she doesn't want to "sell out" or go the pop route.
Still, she didn't lie.
