PART 01
Many of the covers that will show up here are very simple (boring for many
) and not iconic (as some may even say), but to me they're very pleasing to the eyes. So without further ado, here are the Top 10 Album Artworks of 2011. I'm going to break this into 4 parts, since the post will become too long if I put all 5 in a single post
.

10. Chevelle: Hats Off to the Bull
I've always love the combination of the colors red, black and white, there's something about that color scheme that is appealing to me. I think that the use of motion blur works really well here too. Although, what drew me the most to this cover is the composition along with the negative space creating the silhouette of the bull.

07. Braids: Native Speaker
Here's another simple cover. The use of colors for this cover is not very overpower, it's just right. They also remind me of the colors of the sky. I also like that frosted glass look it has, though I think it's just a metallic surface but I'll stick to what I think what it is , since it makes it look like the colors are forming clouds and you're looking outside.

08. Evanescence: Evanescence
I'm not just including them here because they're my favorite but I actually love the album cover, it's not their best but it's aesthetically pleasing. I was actually ready to be disappointed when they were about to reveal the artwork since I wasn't too pleased with the artwork for the single, What You Want (although that grew on me) but it was like love at first sight . Not many fans actually love the artwork, they thought it looks lazy but I really like the simplicity of the cover. The composition looks great as well, but the most impressive for me is the way they were able to create an atmospheric cover by just using simple fractal brushes and harmonizing the colors. Oh, I also love that backwards Evanescence at the bottom, I thought that was a bit different.
