Wow, how exciting. I listened to London Grammar as a recommendation on last.fm and it was such a big mistake. Definitely surplus to the demand of big voiced "alt" pop British singers. Like Florence without the bombastic flair or Kate Bush-isms, Delilah without the subtle melodrama, and Anna Calvi without the witty and inventive melodies. So basically, it's BORING AS ****. I don't really think this needed to exist because everything that's done in it has been done better, and like I seriously don't understand why they need to exist outside of a Disclosure feature.
Oh god what the **** is this? Her vocals on this album really took a steep fall from Born This Way. Her attempts at "theatrical vocals" just send the bad kinds of shivers down my spine. Also, um, what the **** is up with the lyrics? I guess she's comparing her fans to her drug usage? Or is it about a relationship? Who the **** cares? It's an analogy that has been used way too ****ing many times ("Your Love is My Drug" did it WAY better by the way) and it just makes her seem like an incompetent, out of touch fool. It's anticlimactic too. Who would want to listen to these vocals for three or so minutes and get nothing else out of it? Is this the best Lady Gaga can really do in 2013?
i like the start though
it gives you some time to skip the song without actually having to hear the song while desperately reaching for w/e is playing it
