there's heavy rumors of DEAN signing to YG's label Blacklabel (i think that's what it's called) but i honestly hope it isn't true.
He already has Universal Music Group & he's already doing great and making a name for himself. like, unless his current company can't afford albums/etc (im sure they can tbh) then i see why but hopefully he sticks to where he's at. having some of my faves in the dungeon is already alot, but having DEAN in there too? i wouldnt stand for it at all

He's always struck me as an "anti-industry" type and that's kind of why I like him. This is a lawsuit over mistreatment and lack of creative freedom waiting to happen lol. He doesn't need them right now. They need him. everyone does. He's the it/go-to male soloist right now. YGE Fam looks good on paper but uhh... BLACKPINK is about to be dungeon'd after a massively successful debut so.... yeah

omg that's what i've been reading tbh. it seems like Zion.T has released so much but he only has 1 album and that was a long time ago wasnt it?
& that's another reason, DEAN's planning on continuing the TRBL into a 3 parter (with the next one being full English i believe?) and i feel like if he signs with any related to YG, it's gonna end up going through 3 processes:

1. confrontation with the direction he normally goes from YG & the team
2. delays, delays, ****ing delays
3. it never coming in general

& i really dont want that, not as a fan but not for him as an artist either. he's going up & up & having a label bring you down so soon in your new career, **** that.

exactly, like his whole image & music feels and is so, him. like you know he has a team of people that are backing him up 110% but also making sure his music speaks for itself while slowly letting him get more public. so having YG come in, it's an Allkpop tweet waiting to happen
& you aint spotting on lie, and i believe the 'Starlight' collab is what really brought labels attention for sure but i feel like, they'll try to turn him into Jay Park (even tho i LOVE him, that's not who Dean is) & it'll just be a mess.

& dont get me started on the BP stuff. i saw that & my blood boiled. besides a few (great) performances & CFS, that's literally all they've done. they having done huge amounts of promo, concerts, interviews, etc so for YG to pull some ******** with 'wrapping up activities & planning to comeback'... like??? where the damn tv show at???
tbh, i wish it was possible to have a contract with two labels. if BlackPink could keep YG's aesthethic & producers but have JYP's promo & team behind the scenes, everything would be great
