New jack swing with Control album. She isn't credited for it tho. That album turned 25 two years ago and she deserves to be inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for it. It was a landmark in modern music that bridged gap between hip hop/R&B and dance/pop music.
Control is literally amazing. It's one of my favorite albums ever.
The Fantasy remix is better but both versions are good. Love the simple and carefree video. It works because she's not white. Imagine a Carly Rae type on that roller coaster. Would be annoying. It's hard to explain why -- it's just the way it is.
