her set on iheart radio is AMAZING. she sounds so good.
what is her main audience tho? her fan base is not entirely gay like a typical pop star's, right? there are a lot of boys in the audience from what i can see (i mean straigh ones, obvi) i was wondering
Florence actually has a REALLY big straight following! It's actually noteworthy how universal she is in terms of her fans. Can't really say the same for other alt-pop/indie artists like Charli XCX, Lana, etc. (No shade, those are literally my faves and I'm seeing them in concert this weekend actually, lmao).
After listening to Caught live I think she sings "Then you leave my head, crawl out the bed/Subconcious I'm obsessed" but I am still not 100% sure but I think that must be it. That's why I hate physical copies without lyics in the booklet
And is it just me or does she manage to even sound better with every year that passes by?
I read in the comments section for the lyrics over at genius.com someone suggested that it's
Then you leave my head, crawl out the bed
Subconscious solipsist
I didn't even know what a solipsist was but after googling it I think that's definitely it, it makes sense with the following lyrics as well.
I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I think Caught might be one of my favorite tracks on the album so far~
In terms of her fanbase, its pretty diverse - I mean, Summerian Records, a Heavy Metal Label, decided to put out an album of heavy metal covers for the songs in Ceremonials. That said, if I had to think of what gorup might be over-represented, it would be young women, mostly hetero.

Worried about the review from the AV Club and NY Times, as both of those would count. The AV club gave her an A- for Ceremonials, but they have been pretty harsh to a lot of albums recently. As for the Times, I hope they follow the trend where outfits that gave Ceremonials really low scores (under 60%) have been a little more generous this time around.
