It was officially a single in November & the music video was released then. However, it was announced as a single in October when the tour was announced so it seems like it's been a single forever.

Most use the add date as release date of a single since most of the time second, third, fourth singles don't get an itunes release.

I didn't know it was in December, I guess I figured the adds date coincided with the music video. It just feels like it's been a single forever since the music video was released so far before it's peak.
