You can argue that issuing threats of violence would be wrong regardless of whether she were a male or female if they were actually meant to be taken seriously. It's not like T.I. is actually gonna put a hit out on Azealia (I think) if she mouthed off again.
The way I think of it is -- calling someone a bitch is using a negative descriptor that's based on how a person acts (which is fair game for criticism) but calling a black person the n-word is using negative descriptor that's based on nothing more than how a person was born (not cool).
Now what T.I. did may be wrong, but not for the reasons SYG is claiming.
