Just so. There's nothing wrong with giving your honest opinion on an artist, least of all if you're a fan of that artist, even if your opinion is that he or she is under performing (sales, entertainment, whatever the case may be). These people offering their opinions shouldn't be told to **** off or stop being a fan of that artist, because it is still possible to want the artist to do better even if one "stans" for them less or not at all. Artists are often judged by their best work (as it should be), so it's no surprise even if people who don't call themselves stans should want to give their opinions, be they positive or negative.
Ideally, people should just be civil when discussing their opinions. Vitriol solves nothing and only fuels any perceived fires.
