It's starting to hit me there won't be no new music but it's what's best for the long run.
I think she won't deny anyone for that collab just to keep us guessing.

I really feel like "pop star" is not the correct term for Rihanna.
I'm sitting here watching her performances from Macau, and her performance style and energy is a lot more Mick Jagger than Lady Gaga. I really want her to explore more of the rock territory on her next album.
Stevie Nicks said this in an interview one time:
"So I saw her on David Letterman many years ago, and she did a live performance of "Shut Up And Drive" and I said to several different people that this girl could start a rock band. She really could be a rock singer. She could front a really great rock-n-roll band and she should. And of course that didn't happen, and she became a really big star, but she would probably be happier had she actually done something like that because then she could have had Rihanna with a great band. And then she could have been a rock star and she could have gone to her solo Rihanna and been a pop star. She could have done both like I do. And of course, since we're not friends and I don't know her, I wasn't able to say that to her but I did say it to a lot of other people. It's a heck of a lot more fun."

I agree. When I think of "pop star" I think of a bubbly, fun, happy singer very Katy Perry ish. I always thought Rihanna had a rockstar mentality and aura about her. From her attitude to daring clothes to hairstyles . She pushes boundaries in music and fashion. Pop stars typically stay neutral and generate safe music.
Which is another reason why I hate when people compare her performances to Beyonce, Gaga, and others. Rihs concerts are centered around crowd interaction (letting the crowd sing parts, going into the crowd, inviting fans on stage) Not necessarily her up on stage for 3 hours singing and dancing. But since Rih is viewed as a Pop star to the world I think she puts a great spin on the word and redefines it in her own way.

Someone should tell her to leak all her un-relasesd songs that didn't make her albums
- that would be perfect!!!! The music would hold us until she drops a new album and it would be a great way to see her growth over the years and how she experiments with different sounds.

this coming from stevie nicks make me love rihanna more ..Rihanna doesn't have stans, like rock bands she has fans which are more tough to get because people who have a peculiar taste in music they relate to that certain artist but in case of rihanna she pulls everyone in by providing little bit of everything ...
