That's the problem with a LOT of her music. She (or Max, Luke, Bonnie, whoever) writes melodies that are pretty and sound great which are easy to manipulate in the studio but she can't really sing them live. She needs to stop doing that and find a balance between great melodies and great live singing.
But really that's 90% of the reason why she has a reputation for bad live singing, because she doesn't make studio music she can sing easily live. If she fixed that next record and only had little bits that were hard to reach (which she could lip maybe) she'd have a better live reputation.
It's not because she can't sing, she just choses to sings melodies that she can't really sing live, which makes her look bad and it's actually unnecessary.
