Diamonds already sold around 400k outside US, so it's not like you can use "US is the biggest market" blah blah blah everytime you see your fave higher than Rihanna there.

This to be honest. Can Red just PLEASE drop out the top 10, before Alicia starts to fall again. She neeeeeeeds the top 10 exposure.

As for Rihanna and Ke$ha, they're not in competition with each other. They're both doing great. If Rihanna released a dance-pop song, and Ke$ha released a ballad, they'd be the other way around in the charts. It's not a big deal.

And Ke$ha's getting more airplay than Rihanna on pop radio. More of Rihanna's airplay comes from rhythmic and urban, which does practically NOTHING for sales. For example, Adorn by Miguel is almost top 10 on the overall airplay chart, and is a brilliant song, but it's #89 on iTunes, because its airplay is from rhythmic, urban and urban AC. If Adorn was getting most of his AI from pop like Ke$ha is, he'd be top 10 on iTunes right now. A lot of the airplay Rihanna is getting is useless for iTunes.

I think she had ballads on her previous album, but I can't imagine her ever releasing one as a single. Maybe at most an electro/dance-ballad like E.T. or Wide Awake. But I really like that Rihanna uses a wider variety of musical styles for her singles.

My favourite Ke$ha song is Blah Blah Blah. So trashy, but so catchy, and such funny lyrics aswell!
