A few remixes will be serviced to radio, but none so far come close to the radio-friendliness of the Cash Cash remix of "Birthday." If you put out a dance remix (as opposed to the same song produced by the same people and featuring a rapper), publishing credits for the original writers and producers are greatly diminished, so there's much less incentive on the artist's part to want to push it as the primary vehicle for the song. Of course, radio could take a remix, run with it, and stop playing the original, but that doesn't happen often with dance remixes.
