I highly doubt they would say "let's put the album up for free almost 3 weeks early".

They know Brit has a built in fanbase that will buy her music. They also know there are people who want to listen to the album before buying. This psyches up her fans, the general listening audience and those who like to but after listening.
It gets her name everywhere online. It's a calculated move IMO. Look at how convenient this all has been: HIAM "leaks", Brit gets all this promo then she premieres the song. Same with TTWE. The next songs that have peeps really talking are DDB and IO, then they leak, followed by the full album. Conveniently leaking on a Friday (like her other leaks from this era). Today also just so happens to be a download day for TTWE.
Funny how reviewers and DJ's got marked copies, but what leaked isn't.
