People caught up with rising alternative pop artist Pedro to learn about his American arena tour, newfound success and his upcoming album.
I: Hello, how are you?
P: Hi there, I'm actually tired. I'm in Germany and I have a concert tonight. In fact, the only reason why I'm taking a break from rehearsing is to talk to you right now! (laughs)
I: Well, that's nice to know! You're clearly enjoing a lot of success right now, you've just had your first US #1 single with "Go Under" and now you're on a worldwide tour.
P: Yeah, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of this. Just a few months ago I was virtually unknown and now I've had my first Gold single... it's still hard to believe.
I: And with all the touring, have you found time to record your new album?
P: My debut is already recorded, to be honest! (laughs) I'm actually mastering it right now.
I: We also know you will be touring in America again, this August, albeit in arenas now.
P: That's true, this time I feel I'm more prepared for bigger venues. Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center will be two of them. It's more of a promotional tour for my upcoming album and single.
I: Should we expect them later this year then?
P: Certainly!
I: Thank you for this interview, Pedro, and hopefully we'll talk soon enough.
Two weeks after this interview was published, Pedro began a US tour on these venues:
Madison Square Garden
Barclays Center
