AC always works like that. Songs don't just rise up that format. It usually takes months for AC to even pick up a song, and it takes months to even drop it.

Because both songs are just starting out. Ke$ha's just past 600k, Bruno totals 252k. You can't seriously expect them to be done in 8 weeks? Plus, if you look at past occurrences, most of the songs in competition for the Christmas #1 all started heating up in September/October. Hence why it's very rare any singles in November/December (new or follow-up) are very strong.

"Fergalicious," "Low," "Just Dance," "TiK ToK," "Grenade," and "Sexy And I Know It" were all released/promoted starting in September/October time and were subsequently the Xmas #1 weeks later. The songs that were competing (like "WFL," "Firework," "Bad Romance," "Live Your Life," etc. etc. etc.) were all released at the same time frame too.

If "Trouble" is released next month, it could compete because it's already selling strongly now. But it doesn't make sense to say Ke$ha and Bruno will have died both logically and from how things have always played out.
