This. All the songs are unique, but Pretty Hurts feels like it could be sung by any other popstar. The rest though, have that signature BEYONCE vibe and essence to it.

All of this. Even though I love "XO" and "Pretty Hurts" has started to grow on me after knowing someone who connects with it, both just feel like they were put on to appeal to radio and the GP.
People need to stop saying songs like 'Haunted' & 'Partition' need to be separated. Stop. They are perfect as 5-6+ minute long transitional one-title epics. If Beyoncé wanted to separate them into parts she would have.
I also agree that Rocket is probably her best shot at a purely oldschool, sexy RnB-Song ever! Although it has this very oldschool character to it, it is such a bop compared to Dance 4 You or 1+1. The melody is just insane and the way she plays with it. It's been stuck with me for three days now! I think she should really consider releasing it as an Urban-Single in the US.
Scrolling through this thread and I see very little love for the heavenly "Heaven". Do people not like it or is it just too sad to listen to more than once?
I know I get sad as **** when I listen to it...but I love it. The belting of "Oh" in the second chorus *wipes tears*

Heaven makes me very depressive but its actually one of the best Songs she has ever recorded.
