Ghost is an amazing track, it really should've been made a standalone track.

I agree. Soooo. meh. I've listened to it like 5 times. It's not that the song is bad as it's more of just generic and bland.

Sometimes a song ends exactly when it needs to. Maybe there was nothing more she wanted or could add to Ghost.

This. All the songs are unique, but Pretty Hurts feels like it could be sung by any other popstar. The rest though, have that signature BEYONCE vibe and essence to it.

I feel that her strongest vocals are on No Angel. I mean the falsetto and the transition to her belting r insane!

At the end of Pretty Hurts, u can see Beyonce sitting on top of the TV, a symbol of her being superior to the medialized strive for perfection. Seconds later, one can see Beyonces acceptance speech as a young girl in the TV itself, politely doing everything which her parents and the media basically wanted her to do and say. The transition to Ghost, where she argues that she's sick of people and the media manipulating her and the globe basically is just flawfree. It's amazing how she criticizes the media by acknowledging that it's people who r working all the time in order to survive that need to be in focus and need to be helped, not her. In Haunted, the video starts again by Beyonce being shown in the TV. It's as if the I-narrator, who was sitting in front of Beyonce sitting on top of the TV in Pretty Hurts, switched the channel to Haunted. Here, she addresses the media which follows her everywhere and that everything is part of a show. And in Drunk in Love, the video starts with Beyonce walking along the beach with one of the trophees of the Pretty Hurts video which is basically a statement in itself: After all the repression and manipulation of the media, she found what is truly important to her. LOVE. She basically states "Love > Perfection/Trophees/Medial Acclaim". It's just genius.

I agree. I think it ended right when it should, and Haunted picked up perfectly.

I agree aswell, Ghost/Haunted is just perfectly together and it basically is the perfect Interlude that sounds amazing on it's own, but also perfectly as addition

!!!
I love how the opening line of the album is her saying "my aspiration in life, would be, to be happy" and the closing line of the album is Blue talking and the video of her and Blue walking on the beach. It's like she finally achieved her main aspiration in life
Also, Pretty Hurts is perfect. The verses, the belting chorus, the two different bridges. The message and lyrics are a bit corny and generic but it's a great pop song (that will slay once released btw)

Pretty Hurts is great, except I don't really like the vocals in the chorus.
But I can't @ everyone buying the album this week
I really think this week, we will see an increase in sales

I agree tobehonest. XO is almost like that, it has this universal appeal like it was specially made to connect with the general public. PH and XO aside, the album is rather instinctive and personal. To me it's her most authentic work for this reason.
