Revival spoken intro is so promising, but the song dragged on getting no where, a three minute song would have been much more effective opener..
I love everything about Kill them with Kindness except the line "kill them with kindness"
That LONG buildup of Hands to Myself was not worth it, maybe it is not placed well on the album
Why was Same Old Love second single? Sober finally kicks off the album properly Good for You.. eh
Was swearing in Camouflage really that necessary? Just because you can doesn't mean it works Me & the Rhythm is the highlight of the album for me, sleek, modern, tight
Calling a song Survivor when you sound like you are half awake... Body Heat is a hot mess and I love it! but must you repeat the chorus so many times? Rise is cute, but sandwiched between Body heat and Me & My Girls was a but weird Me & My Girls starts off getting me bopping, then I got bored. Nobody should have replaced those trash in the beginning of the album Perfect is nice, but nothing new that the rest of the album didn't offer Outta My Hands (Loco) starts off cute and got really annoying Cologne is cute too
The thing is, I know Rise, Perfect and Cologne are supposed to be album closers for the different editions of the album, but the way that it plays through is so weird. If you play all 16 it's almost like the journey keeps stoping and starting....
Also, in A LOT of the songs, she relies on A SINGLE line in a chorus to repeat over and over and it is so tiring... It worked for LYLALS but it's not working here, especially with so many of them in the album
This album slays my existence Her voice is so clear and soft and the production on every single track I just need this to sell 140k first week and debut at #1- can this happen? I think so with "Today Show" & "Fallon" performances coming on Monday and Wednesday. And another question: You can buy Revival bundles on Selena's page, but they will ship in mid-November. Do the sales count for the first week or will Revival get a huge push in November?
it's such a great ballad. I hope when she performs it on tour she plays the piano.
