Album: Britney Spears - 'Britney Jean'

So I finally listened to this album and had the time to marinate my opinion.
Work Bitch remains one of the biggest growers of Britney's discography. I have to confess I didn't like it much on first listen, but ever since its premiere I'm loving it more and more. Definitely a highlight on Britney Jean and the best song on the album in my opinion.
I can't say the same about Perfume. The lack of middle 8 really bugs me since it's usually a part of the normal pop song I'm always excited to listen - especially when we talk about Britney - and it makes the song a little flat. And that "threeeEEeeEE" should be edited. I completely love the verses and the post-chorus though. "I'll never tell, tell on my self..." <3
I like the haunting feel of the Dreaming Mix, but the normal version suits better as a single.
If I chose the next singles on Britney's catalog, Til It's Gone should definitely be a single and probably Alien as single 4. They are both personal, relatable and amazing songs. Would love to see them on a future greatest hits album.
Brightest Morning Star could be an interesting single video-wise; it could be a follow-up to Someday. It's a very beautiful song, but I think it would flop. Chillin with You also has the potential to an interesting video and her sister could call some media attention to the song, but I don't see it as a hit.
Now That I Found You has the potential, but it's too similar to Wake Me Up..The same applies to Body Ache which is similar to S&S.. I like them both though, especially the former, it should be on the Standard Edition :/ I just wish she had more originality on them, and critics would rain on her if any of these were singles.
Probably It Should Be Easy could catch the general public if they want a desperate hit, but personally I think there are better choices, and I'm sure it wouldn't be as big as S&S.
Overall I think it's a good album but clearly Britney's done better before and I hope will.i.am isn't involved on her next project...
PS: sorry for my eventual English mistakes

I agree with your opinion. If i could chose the next singles they would be:
- ISBE (we need an uptempo hit desperately to extend the era)
- Alien (it would do **** on its own, but as a follow-up to a hit it can work)
- Til Its Gone (radio would be behind her again, so it could work)
- Passenger (definetely radio friendly, if TIG doesnt work she can resort to this)
- Tik Tik Boom (its urban, and urban is the IT thing right now)
- Dont Cry (just to try, its a flawless song)
- Now That I Found You (when this happens it can work)
- Chillin With You (It has that feel that it can be one of those songs that randomly become a viral hit)

Honestly Work B***h is the worst song on the album. Why? Becvause it sounds to much like trash Will.I.Am does, Perfume, Till Its Gone, Alien are flawless.

Thank you lousaysthings
alestevens, I like Tik Tik Boom but I think the Tiks are too repetitive; I would have added an effect like the "more"s of Gimme More. On Passenger, I agree that it could be good on radio but with a shorter intro
Camille, I get what you saying..but I still think this might be one of will.i.am's best products. How can you not love those vocals? :P (joking, different strokes for different folks )

I think Tik Tik Boom could be a hit more for the controversy of the lyrics and T.I being there than for the actual song to be honest

Plus Male + Female collaborations were doing good since last year:
Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko
Eminem ft. Rihanna
Pitbull ft. Kesha
P!nk ft. Nate Ruess
Lady Gaga ft. R Kelly
will.i.am ft. Britney Spears
and the list goes on

Tik Tik Boom wouldn't get daytime Top 40 play, and T.I. is like non-existent in the song. His copy and paste verse does nothing.
Til It's Gone & Alien should be the final two releases. ISBE doesn't really seem like it's an option in Britney's mind.

I'm happy this will, at the very least, go gold
Coldfire still hasn't (and probably won't be able to) provided receipts for Lotus' sales

This album is so amazing, If you say that this is the worst album of year or it's a bad album you really haven't listened to all 14 songs.
