Did you not hear about how the PQ wants to remove Montreal's status as a bilingual city?
Unfortunately, you do need French for everything. Even if you work for a multinational, your co-workers, clients, and suppliers are most likely predominantly French.

It's not that hard a language to learn though.
Some people tell me that I can find a job that is only English required. I really want to move there, and I can't learn french in the next following months to move there..
PQ isn't for sure yet.. I hope it won't happen
Also, french is pretty tricky with it's grammar.. I learned it for 4 years and struggled
It depends on what part of the city you live in mostly. You can find jobs that are mostly English (all of my jobs have been) but I guarantee you'll need to use at least some French.
