I'm still looking for that interview she did around the My December time where she just seemed LIVID the entire time. I like me a feisty Kelly. She had straight brown hair at this point so I think it was early to mid 2007? I think they questioned her about her canceled tour.

You're probably thinking about the Showbiz tonight interview. I don't think its on youtube anymore though.

Kelly is not a puppet; she does not like to be told what to do. She could have gone the easy route, which is, you go with ["Since U Been Gone" producer] Max Martin — it's a guaranteed success. She made it absolutely clear that she wanted to steer the musical direction on this record. You just gotta say, 'You know what? This girl has given us millions and millions of sales.' You've got to give her that opportunity. If it works out, fantastic. If she then decides she wants to do a pop album, every good writer and producer wants to work with her. Because Kelly will be here for 30 years. She has one of the best pop voices in the world right now. What she sold in the UK, Europe, Asia had nothing to do with American Idol. It had everything to do with the fact that she made a great record and she's got an incredible voice. She's not a girl who got lucky in a talent competition; we got lucky to find her.

Oh looks like the filming wasn't for PLU!!! Saw this at the KCE. The show is called "Who Do You Think You Are?" Reba did an episode for them once. They search about her ancestors. Not gonna lie... I've always wanted Kelly to do this, so I'm excited!! Even though I'm kinda bummed it wasn't for PLU, it would have been a cool concept.

Edit: the show used to be on NBC, but TLC has been in talks to pick it up or start another show similar to that.

Kelly's most likely doing this for her mom. I remember during the Stronger era she mentioned her mother was really into genealogy and was trying to find out information about her family. Kelly said she still has relatives in Turkey, but has never met them. I know she's said her mom's side is Greek. Plus, she's getting married and has talked about wanting to have kids of her own, always nice to pass down your family's history.

I'm such a huge nerd and have wanted Kelly to do this since the first time I saw this show. Super jealous! If I had the opportunity, I'd love to do this!
