Maleficent Movie Trailer released its third footage for the public, and it slowly unfolds the darkest side of the “Mistress Of All Evil,” something that might impose a problem to Disney.
On the studio’s bold move to feature a villain in the title role, it will most likely hurt it’s expected profit, according to one of Wall Street’s analyst.Wells Fargo’s Marci Ryvicker wrote that Angelina Jolie’s comeback film might be too scary that the $130-million-budget film, which will be shown in theaters starting May 30, could actually flop.
“Expectations for a Maleficent write-off seem relatively widespread,” she penned in a report.
A few other Wall Street analysts gave their two cents on the possible outcome of the movie.
“It’s definitely in the ‘not a sure thing’ bucket,” another analyst claimed of the Maleficent movie. RBC Capital’s David Bank is estimating in a total US haul of $150 million.
