Girl, Venus was performed at the Muppets special so performing DWUW isn't out of the question. I mean, if Venus can be performed, then DWUW can be performed too! With an edit, of course.

Idk Venus is more easily adaptable into a kid-friendly song tbh. The pre-chorus and chorus don't have to be changed at all.

in hindsite, it would've been better to wait to release the second single until like a week from now. Applause may not be gaining spectacularly on radio and is pretty low on digital, but its still taking up so kany valuable gaga spins on radio. it needs to have time to die first
