As for my advice, if you think you can be a good friend to him without expecting a relationship immediately, then you should do that and see where it goes. It's obvious he still has feelings for his ex but you have to be supportive of him if he doesn't want to be in a relationship yet.
Just don't rush him and don't expect too much too soon. I'm sure if you show how much you care for him, he'll warm up to you in time.

Like hell to the yes. Now I'm kinda warming up to him, but I dunno he's probably straight. Guess a good friend is worth something as well.  |
He probably just thinks you guys are gonna be good friends. Especially if he doesn't know that you're gay.
But if you really do think he is interested or attracted to you, pay attention to how he acts. Also, you should try to give subtle hints that you like him. Nothing big, though! Like, if you're in the same room, just look over at him and smile. But don't look away if you make eye contact. Get your point across. Also, if you catch him looking at you, and he looks away when you make eye contact, he's probably interested, but shy/nervous.

Well thats what every1 is telling me right now too
Im not expecting a relationship immediately i just told him i have a thing for him but im not asking more i just wanna get to know him more now and thats it ~
Hopefully the longer im by his side supporting doesnt end up as friendzone because i experienced this before  hopefully he notice me before i choose the time to leave him

Tbh there's nothing wrong with being friendzoned but maybe I've just gotten used to it.
The way I look at it is that things tend to be quite complicated when you're in a romantic relationship than if you were in a very close friendship. I've had three people friendzone me, and with the two of them, I'm kinda glad they did because they ended up being the best friends I've ever had, and I shudder to think of the possibility of things getting ugly between us if either of them became my boyfriend because I just KNOW I'd screw it up since I'm a damn mess.
On the flipside it would have been nice to have had that someone you could spend eternity with, but regardless I feel like I already do with those guys since we're so close. There just happens to be no sex I guess.

he's probably just a friend, but you should push the envelope a bit, just to make sure.

God damn it, I'm such a train wreck. Here's a boring story for you 
Today when I got to work I went to the bathroom wanting to fix my hair after taking my hat off and the guy I've liked since October of last year was on his break drinking from the fountain just outside the door. I thought he didn't notice me so I ran into the stall to wait till he left but he came in and started peeing right when I was leaving. I basically saw him using the urinal. I wanted to RUN out of there but I thought if I didn't wash my hand he'd think I was gross  Anway... I'm like 100% sure he knows I like him since I'm always awkward/embarrassed around him so after that mess I was embarrassed and panicking the whole way to customer service to see which cash I was at, and ofc he's there. My face was blood red for like an hour until he went on his lunch and I though I could relax for a biT. Surprise, surprise he comes to MY cash to buy candy and he jokes about how no one can see me back here and everyone is going to all the express lanes instead. Even though my face became flushed it was still a relief since that meant he probably didn't think anything about that whole washroom mess. IDK what to think as of late tbh. We can hardly look each other in the eye/always have really awkward contact (but that's most likely my own fault) and he's been coming to my cash on his breaks to buy food/snacks a lot lately. And he says "good night" "bye" "have a good one" to EVERYONE but me (Idk why I think this means anything but anyways...???) He's so cute ugh

But I've been in your position before. I sat next to my straight crush for an entire year of chemistry in high school. He could make the dumbest joke and I would blush on command. If you really do blush frequently around him, your feelings are probably very evident and hard to hide tbh. He might know you have a thing for him especially if you've liked him for more than a year.

I have a crush on this guy in my biology class. He's smart, he's cute and I just find him cute 
He has some muscle and stuff like that, which I actually don't mind too much but like yeah I am certain he doesn't like me He like to sit in the back of class most of the time but he's very mellow and chill and a BIT mysterious. I am transgender by the way. So like yeah I'm sure he's not interested. But the other day a girl, him and I were called into the professors office because he wanted to ask us three if we want to become SI Leaders (they're like tutors that make activities for people having trouble with the material in school). And he was standing next to me, I wanted to just hug him  So we walk out of the meeting and I tell a couple of jokes, because I'm very humorous, and he laughs at all of them and while he's laughing I just look at him. UGH too cute
So last class of Bio which was Wednesday he actually sat in the front with me, I was the only one sitting in the front row of class. So half way through class he leans forward on the chair so that his butt is kind of leaning on the tip of the chair. So his body is muscular, if you recall, and his shirt tightened because of the position he was in and I could see the print of his abs and love handles I could also see his ***** and his leg and thigh muscles I'm sure he was teasing me though because he saw me turn my head to look at him and I stared for a bit and he didn't even budge a bit to try to hide his ***** So I stared at him throughout the entire class every once in a while and he say me, I know he did and he didn't move
Such a TEASE !
