It was merely an exaggeration, but a point was still made. She's doing less than 15K in pure sales, but half a hundred grand every week when you include TEA and SEA. Clearly streaming has been the biggest contribution in the album's chart success

15k pure sales per week is not so bad tbh. Sales are the pits. I don't know if that's really the number, I'm relying on what you said
She's at like 450k pure sales, right? The figure may look and sound bad to stans, but if you look at the other albums released this year, it's decent. Good, even. Even if there was no SPS / TEA incorporated, she'd still be top 20 in the traditional chart last week (don't know about this week)

But you guys tend to forget that ANTI WAS GIVEN AWAY FOR FREE to 1.4M people.
Its normal to have smaller sales.
Anyway... its definitelly gonna sell 500K in pure sales... and its already over 1.000.000 in SPS.
She is 2xPlatinum and could very much end up being 3xPlatinum

It's never been out of top 20 in four months tho. Get informed before opening up your mouth.

people do not forget it. people choose to believe it's not nearly the factor that navy proclaims it as, because most of those who got it for free would have gotten it for free anyway.
while the true diehard fans who got it should have gotten a 2nd copy for money.

I never said anything about her chart placement. My comment was in regards to people actually paying for the album or the lack thereof of people paying for the album. Move along.

Wait is the every prediction from HDD so far including physical sales? If it is, then how could they measure and predict how many physical sales are sold?
I mean Ariana started with 40k pre-orders one and a half week before the album got released, I wouldn't believe if she fails to outsell Blake in pure sales, she's clearly got more attention in every single platform from real life to social media.
Hmmm I just think Ariana definitely deserves to debut at #1 Billboard 200 as well as Top Album Sales, because the album is a pop masterpiece, you all know it.

I meant top 20 of Top Album Sales (Pure sales only). It's in fact the seventh best selling album of the year (yes, in pure sales).

I think that these copies hurt her sales a little bit, but not too much.
It's not like she would have sold 1M+ albums in the first 10 hours without these free copies. That's why I disagree with the Navy adding 1M or 1,4M to her sales.

Yes, sure. I think that you can predict the sales in a week by collect numbers in the first few days. Almost every albums do the same ( except something happens like promo, physical release...)
Ari has 40k pre-order but her album fell fast on Itunes.
Physical sales is not very important now. Drake sold only 50k physical in the first week of release. For Ari maybe 25-30k I guess.

I actually don't care about where it's placed for the year, especially since the year isn't even half way over yet. I'm looking at the numbers, not the chart positions.
Again, it's quite shocking that she has all this SPS, but isn't on the sales list.

No one has denied that streaming/TEA has been a big contribution to her (AND EVERY OTHER ARTIST'S IN EXISTENCE CHART SUCCESS), I'm just attempting to clarify that she is still selling albums as well as streaming.

The incredibly tight battles for both Sales Plus Streaming and Album chart supremacy continue today, with Ariana Grande dueling Drake for the SPS title and Blake for the album-sales #1. An increase in streaming activity since the weekend has driven up Drake’s numbers, while Shelton has spiked in sales, buoyed by constant Voice exposure. Could we be white-knuckling it to the wire on both charts? Here’s an update on the projections.
Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 170-180k SPS, 50-60k albums
Ariana Grande (Republic) 160-170k SPS, 130-140k albums
Blake Shelton (Warner Music Nashville) 150-160k SPS, 140-150k albums
