Obviously setter. Stripped and Back to Basics are THE opposite of following. Especially B2B. The songs on HER version of Bionic were trend setting as well (Elastic Love, Birds of Prey, Little Dreamer, Stronger Than Ever)

The trend following stuff (Lotus, Not Myself Tonight, etc.) is well known to be label forced because they don't think Xtina's stuff is marketable. This is a fact too.

Of course, you're all gonna vote trend follower because she isn't smashing this decade regardless of facts.

Well, she does fight them and she seems to be regaining control (Say Something, We Remain, Anywhere But Here), but all singers are to some extent ruled by their label no matter how hard they fight (minus Taylor Swift, who is so successful that she could buy her own label and is their only big star, so she rules them)

Hell, you can see it with Riri now. R8 is unique and challenging herself artistically, but it's less marketable. Despite the high quality, she STILL has to fight with them to get the album she wants released. It doesn't mean she's a puppet, she's not going willingly. They're just singers with labels
