Yes, actually it's a U.S. show! It won't help "Bad Romance" out that much, though. Tonight's episode should've gotten about 10 million viewers, which is good, but you've also got to realize that people tune into B&S for the show, not the music. So the people who would download a song after hearing it on a television show are probably not watching it. It will get a small boost. Not a huge one, but it will get a small one. This is also the reason why performing on the Super Bowl doesn't help you out that much wither. The Super Bowl gets 70-90 million viewers, yet
American Idol, with 20-25 million viewers, helps boost a song's digital sales more than if you were to perform on the Super Bowl. The reason? People tune in to the Super Bowl for the game and/or the commercials. People tune into
American Idol for the music. The same goes for other television shows, like B&S. People tune in for the actual show, not really the music on the show. It still might help it go back into the top three or four, but it's definitely not making it go to #1.
