OK, I'm confused.

CARLA is 20-35 years old, confident, gorgeous, and classy, she will be the lead who is visiting this random town in Upstate NY, who is possessed by a ghost from 1920.

ELLE is a 1920’s ghost that is between the ages of 20-30, who inhabits Carla, she is a corky girl, ready for adventure. She is involved in killing her parents with her unpleasant boyfriend. A Bonnie & Clyde relationship they share.

So if Gaga is playing Carla , will she also be playing Elle , or will Elle be played by someone else and we'll get scenes with them as well?

Or will Gaga being playing both Carla and Elle ? If so, that sounds like a pretty big challenge.

If Gaga gets to play two different characters like Sarah did last season , I'm gonna be so stoked.

Could you possibly explain how that'll work, I'm so confused. Wouldn't she have to play both? Unless it's one of those things where it's implied Carla looks like Carla but we see the actor who's playing Elle. If that's the case, surely we won't see Gaga very much... unless it's one of those things where there's an inner conflict and Carla and Elle are, like, fighting for control of the body.

I think they'll be played by two different actors. All it says is she's possessed by the ghost. I guess its possible she could play both characters, but I think she'd play Carla and someone else will play Elle. I guess we will have to wait to find out.

Speculating on articles and supposed insider information (and returning actors) is okay, but I think it's a biT early to be forming theories on plots and references, since we only have the title of the season.

The Operation Top Hat and chemical warfare plotlines are still entirely possible. Asylum was, at its core, about an institution, but it still had serial killers, aliens, mutants, Nazis and demonic possession. (Seems so messy when I actually type it, though. )

It was said that Hotel will be a major revamp compared to Freak Show (and presumably Coven), which was relatively light compared to Asylum and Murder House. Since Ryan is making Scream Queens, which looks to be comedic, maybe he's returning to straight horror on AHS? Here for it.

The central setting is nice, too. It allows for much more scare when they have time to develop the setting. Murder House felt a bit confined (though that was probably the point), but the way they did it in Asylum was great.

Agreed. I like the central home base kinda thing. Like it's fine if they go outside of it sometimes, but I feel like I didn't care about the Freak Show setting since we didn't get to see most of the tents

Gaga took acting lessons at Tisch before and I'm sure she started again by the time she's been selected for AHS. I wonder what it will be like.

Coven would have been the best season if they didn't try to cram a 26-episode story into 13 episodes. It was doing SO well, and then the writers woke up, realized they had four or five episodes left, and it fell apart.

You could see the plotlines collapse at the seams one by one. The way they handled Marie's and Delphine's arcs at the end was criminal.

"Coven" remains the best season title, though, and "Bitchcraft" remains the best season premiere of the series.

I feel like I'm posting too much on this thread already (), but I hope Ryan makes Hotel available for streaming ASAP following the finale. The experiences of watching episodes weekly vs. binge-watching results in a completely different experience when watching the show.
