A song doesn't necessarily have to rhyme, so no...at least I won't take off just for not having a rhyme scheme if I can still find a melody in it, and it is still well-written.
I was out after work for a co-worker's farewell party but am home now and just gotta type some new stuff up (that I wrote by hand in my notebook) and tie up some loose ends, then submit. This is my most personal song yet and after a rough start at the start of the week, I'm so proud of it!
