CHRISTINA PERRI
"A THOUSAND YEARS"
RELEASE DATE: 18 October 2011 BEST PART: The sincerity + the lyrics + the vocals = everything
Christina Perri leaves an impressive mark on my Best of 2011 as her latest effort off the Twilight soundtrack finishes at #4. Despite being only released during the last quarter of 2011, "A Thousand Years" became one of my LSS before the year ended (and up until now actually). There is magic with this song that makes you fall in love and you can really feel the sincerity of Perri as she sings the song. Yes, there is a big possibility that this song would appear again on my Best of 2012. And have you watched the meme proposal? That's so sweet.

ADELE
"ROLLING IN THE DEEP"
RELEASE DATE: 29 November 2010 BEST PART: Everything LAST YEAR'S #128
The song that made Adele a worldwide sensation finishes at #3 on my Best of 2011. I have first discovered this song during the last month of 2010 and I admit that I was not much into it. But after listening to it a few times more, I finally appreciated this masterpiece wholly. A lot of people might think that this song was overplayed but I don't care.
This fantastic song deserves great attention from music enthusiasts.

JENNIFER LOPEZ f/ PITBULL
"ON THE FLOOR"
RELEASE DATE: 8 February 2011 BEST PART: Everything + J.Lo's comeback + The "la la la..." part + the infectious beats
It's been a while since we heard something from J. Lo and I am very much elated that she released a very infectious and irresistible dance-pop hit that makes a lot of people dance. "On The Floor" may have topped my midyear charts but sadly, it fell short on my yearend. Nevertheless, snatching the Top 2 spot is fulfilling enough. This song has been one of my favorite jams since the first quarter of 2011 and I always find myself humming the "la la la.." part repetitively. I do hope J.Lo continues to release more hits like this!

ADELE
"SOMEONE LIKE YOU"
RELEASE DATE: 24 January 2011 BEST PART: The drama + the sadness + the depression + the lyrics + the hurt + everything
Snatching the #1 slot on my Best Of from Taylor Swift is Adele! When I first heard "Someone Like You", I instantly got hooked into it. I am pretty much into heartbreaking emotional ballads and this one is a must-hear and must-love. Despite being too emotional, dramatic, dark, hopeless, melancholic and hurtful, Adele's sincere and heartfelt delivery made the song more effective and irresistible. What makes it more impressive is that it was able to top the Billboard charts during the domination of pop/dance hits. That was such a breath of fresh air! And I'm looking forward to hear tons of Adele this 2012.
