The "I'm as free as my hair-r-r" part absolutely slays. It sells the song tbh. The last chorus sounds really anthemic too. Some of your expectations are too high, I was honestly expecting this song to suck and I loved it from first listen.
I absolutely love the beginning the "in the morning i'm short of my identity, I scream mom and dad, why can't I be who I wanna be?" line sounds fantastic.
