47. Jay Sean feat. Sean Paul & Lil Jon “Do You Remember”
“There’s nothing left to say don’t waste another day. Just you and me tonight, everything will be okay.”
One of the songs I enjoyed earlier last year is Do You Remember by the collaboration of Jay Sean, Lil Jon and Sean Paul. This single made me even appreciate Jay Sean's music as it is such a singable tune whenever I hear it, Jay Sean provides the verses and the chorus, Sean Paul adds a reggae video in the middle and Lil Jon provides a little rap part. This one managed to top my countdown a couple of times and that's why it managed to crack my top 50 this year.
46. Chris Brown “Crawl”
“If we crawl til' we can walk again, then we'll run until we're strong enough to jump, then we'll fly until there is no end.”
As everyone knows what Chris Brown did to Rihanna almost two years from now, and Chris Brown is expressing his apology for this song. I must say I wasn't ready to accept what he did but I could not resist this song. Chris Brown sings about starting all over from the beginning until everything will be ok in the end. Cassie somehow represented Rihanna in the music video where Chris sings to her until she forgive him. As of now, Chris's music career is suffering for the consequences because of what he did having a hard time proving himself once again. Let's just see if this year will be a rebound year for him.
45. Taio Cruz “Dynamite”
“'Cause we gon' rock this club, we gon' go all night, we gon' light it up like it's dynamite.”
Last for this set is newcomer Taio Cruz with his so far solo signature hit for Dynamite. After collaborating with Ludacris for his #1 hit for Break Your Heart, here he is giving us another danceable tune. The lyrics are well delivered here, Taio provided the right feeling to this addictive track. The music video is quite ok for me, nothing great about it but it's not also that bad. Dynamite would probably be the stand out track in his album Rokstarr though majority don't really paid attention to his music. Right now he has a new single and I bet it will be another club banger after some time.
