Mariah doesn't need hits. She has ROYALTIES. Not only that she was slaying in a time when they still had the Sony music club (or whatever in the hell those things were called back when) so she gets dollars upon dollars without even having to step foot in a studio. NOT TO MENTION her recent endorsements, performances, appearances, etc. Mariah keeps getting the dough.
Also, I'm sure she has all types of trust funds and assets that she couldn't even liquidate right away.
