Or it could be that though we liked a few songs on Born This Way, it wasn't nearly as addictive or as fun as The Fame/Fame Monster. Generic isn't a bad thing -- and this notion that BTW was just too advanced for the GP to appreciate is BS. I didn't like the album. I do like ArtPop. I don't think ArtPop is/will be as avant-garde as some fans say, but it is a very good, solid pop album. A big improvement over BTW. And for someone who LOVED her since day one and was turned off by the BTW era, I'm glad she found a happy medium and can appeal to Fame/Monster era fans as well as BTW fans.
It's not about who we stan for or the quality (or lack thereof) of that music. Don't make it more than it has to be
