I'm freaking fat right now. I binge eat for the past couple of days and my body's hurting because the fats are starting to stick onto my muscles. What shall I do?
If you're trying to build muscle mass, you're supposed to limit the amount of cardio that you do because heavy cardio can inhibit muscular growth, although it burns fat like a mofo (but so does lifting weights as your body burns more calories when it breaks down the protein required to build muscle and sustain muscular growth).
Not really.
The fat loss benefits from gaining muscle mass is greatly exaggerated. Depending on the subject and a few other variables (like age, height & amount of LEAN, functional muscle) you'd be burning 70-100 extra calories MAX.
Something important - DON'T stop doing cardio in the aim to gain extra muscle mass. The losses are negligible. You want to continue doing physical exercise to stay fit and healthy - more specifically to keep your heart strong and maintain good blood circulation levels.
Hey guys! I've actually been on this weight loss journey for a year now; I had to start doing something because my doctor basically told me I was on the verge of death , so I made the necessary steps to start improving my health and overall weight statistics.
Started going to the gym 6x a week (this includes about 30 minutes of intense cardio, 30-45 minutes of weight lifting and push ups, jumping jacks, jump rope, planks, etc), gave up pop/soda, fast food, red meats, and sugary snacks. Increased my water intake and fruits/veggies intake.....
Make a long story short, I started at 305 lbs () on 3-10-11, and on 3-11-12, I'm standing at a healthier 220 lbs (). Oh, I have receipts:
I am very happy with myself and the ability to have inspired others to do the same. I know you all can achieve your goals, too. Remember that portion sizes are important!
For serious, congrats. Hard work pays off and you should be so proud of yourself!!! Looking good, and feeling gorgeous!
Well for what it's worth, I'm happy your back! What's the new job?
noooo not KyKy interrupting the health and fitness convo with a story about getting hammered. Seriously, I love you and what you bring to this thread, never change.
LOL not to mention it was my second day at my new job. I could go into more detail about what happened last night, but its NSFW

That's awesome!
I think I make it to the gym once or twice a week, if even that. The most I try to do is take the stairs as much as possible and not be afraid of walking. I think if it wasn't for all of that, with the way I eat, I'd be super unhealthy. The most I'm proud of is being able to do/lift at least 60 lbs on the ab machine, tricep/bicep machine, as well as hip ad/abduction machine, seeing two years ago, I couldn't even do 10 lbs XD
I should really work on eating less and more often though, since I won't have my metabolism for long -_-
