You see what happened is CrazyCat & I spent 5 hours deciding the songs on the first day & then kinda didn't do anything for a few days & then CrazyCat reminded me so then we wrote up the majority of the entries in DM's last night and I just finished the last one today.
Edge is an alcoholic party animal with a wild social life. Katie is a career-oriented Mattel product. While the two may disagree on how exactly to define a party, they can both agree that kicking back with buddies brings some of the happiest moments in life. King B's "Party" is exactly the mellow tune that allows people to chill out and socialize. The happiness felt when everything is relaxed around you is something euphoric compared to the crazed work life. 'Cause we like to party.
"Behind These Hazel Eyes" - Kelly Clarkson
Sadness is a part of life...sadly. A number of things can put you in a bad mood but Edge and Katie usually have similar causes: love. Boys are great when they love you but they can break your heart into pieces without a second thought. While they both currently have incredible significant others (Matty for Katie, a bottle of Jack Daniel's for Edge) there have been times where boys have left them as pits of sadness. Kelly's complete depression and destruction from her one-time lover accurately shows what we go through for past loves. A time where they can't breathe, no they can't sleep. They're barely hanging on.
"We Found Love" - Rihanna
Love can be anywhere and usually shows up where you least expect it. Edge and Katie have both fallen for unexpected lovers. Love can be found even in the darkest of times, and even if the entire world thinks you're fools for loving each other. When Rihanna finds love, she sometimes has the entire world working against her. She chooses to follow her heart at all costs because she knows that true love is what she has even if others can't see it. Edge and Katie have seen their own loves in hopeless places and it's the way they're feeling they just can't deny, but they've gotta let it go.
"Gravity" - Sara Bareilles
Nobody does broken heart better than Legend Sara. As stated above, Edge and Katie consider a broken heart to be the highest form of sadness available. The pain of betrayed emotions can't be fixed with any physical remedy. Sara is literally weighed down by the sheer gravity of her broken heart, a situation in which Edge and Katie have sadly found themselves before. A broken heart can be so all-consuming that it's left them begging to be let go. Set them free, leave them be, they don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
"Unwritten" - Natasha Bedingfield
Most inspiration is centered around learning for the past or planning for the future. Edge and Katie choose to look at the only thing they can determine: their present. As a couple of young 24 year olds, they don't ask anyone to dictate their future. Unwritten is about letting go of other factors and sitting down to create your own life. Their lives are not a book that's written and planned for us. Rather, people write their own stories. We're all just blank books with pages waiting to be willed with crazy stories and while adventures. Today is where their book begins, the rest is still unwritten.

We think that Cinderella perfectly represents the theme of love, because we all remember being children & reading the amazing fairy tale.We all cried watching it and we all wanted to be the lover in that fairy tale. Diana perfectly captures this theme with her sweet, charming voice. This song shows that you would do anything for the chance to be with the one person that you adore. So that is why we think that this song is a perfect choice for the love theme.
We think that Something New best represents happiness because its a fun energetic song that just makes you get up out of your seat & dance. If you're in a bad mood you can just blast the pop-banger, forget about your worries and just get lost in the music.
We think that People Like Us is the best song to represent inspiration because it shows you that you can get through your struggles & hardships. It does this by spreading the uplifting message that you aren't alone and that there are other people like you that are going through the exact same things as you & that you can draw strength from each other by sticking together
We think that "Jar of Hearts" is a good song to represent sadness theme. Let us explain why. First of all it's a very strong ballad about an ex-boyfriend who wanted to reconnect after a tough breakup. We all know how hard it is to say no, but Christina does it in this song and it sounds very tough and sad. The lyrics in this song are so touching, and her voice just melts your heart. Overall this song is a very sad, and touching listen. So we think that this song perfectly describe the word sadness.
Trouble is the perfect breakup song because it tells the story of a relationship going bad leading to an inevitable breakup. In the song Leona sings to warn her partner to not get caught up in her but of course he does and soon they're past the point of no return. Eventually the relationship turns into more of a chore rather than a romance
