I think that S&M definitely has a chance to go number one, but I don't think it will. I would love for the song to be Rih's 10th number one, but I won't be butt hurt if it doesn't.

As long as its AI update is stable and huge with stable download position at #2 or #3, I believe it will go #1, that's my faith, I really want to see SM go #1!!!!!!

Wow, this is amazing. Over two years on ATRL, and just over the past year is when the Rihanna fans really started to come. Her only obstacle is her competition. Everything (Radio updates, itunes positions) is going right for S&M, but they are also going right even better for other songs. She has Born This Way, Till the World Ends, possibly On the Floor, and maybe even more songs to go up against, so it will be interesting to see if she can steal the show for at least a week or so.

I'm jsut kinda sad that everytime S&M got its way struggling to #1, it's always being blocked...
But it's all right, it's really a strong hit, I believe it will pass them on itunes!!!!!!

On The Floor is even not a threat cuz its AI is really awful.
Till The World Ends, alright, maybe it wll pass SM on itunes this weeks, I still think it wll definitely drop like what HIAM did.
So who's the threat now?
**** You, which has two version on itunes and its AI update is bigger than SM's.
But I have faith the two version will drop and SM will pass it on Hot 100.
The only and one real enemy is Born This Way.
The AI gap is 50m now and its popularity on itunes is still bigger than SM.
So it might take at least 3 weeks to take it over.
I'm gon pray everyday!!!!!
SM deserves to be #1!!!

I see it going #2 til Gaga hype dies down, then they can always discount and she can promote after LGOE is finished.

LGOE finishes a week from today, so hopefully the promo will kick in soon after that.
S&M had steadily been in the Top 3 with no promotion, while both OTF and BTW both have had huge promotion rounds.
A week from now, it looks like Gaga's airplay can be anywhere between 100-120. J.Lo is only at 11 right now, so even giving her the benefit of the doubt of her having 30, Rihanna will be up to approx. 75.
So S&M can beat OTF even if it sells 40K more than her, and she'll just need around 40K more than BTW to top the charts.
A quick round of Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, and Chelsea Lately (been praying for this) could send her over the edge, even without a discount.
Come on Rih, don't let us down.
