It's so sad that they have to take pride in that. Even Soulja Boy (whose music is more remembered btw) was showcased better in that movie. At least Katy stanning was showcased as the cool thing to do in 2 blockbusters.
Taylor's shift to pop was obviously Katy Perry inspired hence she hopped on the bubblegum pop trend. But, she didn't copy Katy directly. She instead ripped off Avril Lavigne's forgotten image+music.

It's pretty clear Taylor wanted to hop onto the pop trend like she'll hop onto any famous dick for PR but she couldn't just steal Katy's image since Katy was still slaying at the time so she just rehashed Avril's formula for success
Boyhood had a very solid story with some obvious missteps but in general the story seemed very cohesive.
The fact that they were able to pull a more cohesive story with 12 years of shooting and no way of re-shooting anything than movies that shoot everything in like a month says a lot.
Boyhood stays winning (awards), the critics & recognizing the true stars of our time (Godga), hihi.
That's not what he intentionally said, though. When he filmed it he could have never predicted the future of Gaga's career. It was meant as one of the many cultural milestones the movie is so full of.
Any subtext about her decline or fading is completely coincidentally.
Smart people with good taste always knew that Lady Gaga was an embarrassing trendy thing that would be forgotten in the next couple of years.

Not quite yet though my mom and I were watching Barefoot in the Park for about twenty minutes until she went to sleep and recorded the rest for later (Jane & Robert Redford are kinda really sexy in the movie).
I *******ed They Shoot Horses since I couldn't find it anywhere and then I'll probably watch On Golden Pond since its on Netflix too. I'm trying to get caught up on all these great actresses from the 60s/70s too - haven't seen a whole lot of Faye Dunaway, Shirley MacLaine, or Natalie Wood movies so I'm just kinda going through a long stretch of movies atm.
I was sort of apprehensive about how they would do the new series, after the 1st was literally phenomenal in its success, so it was reassuring to see how the plot was unveiled.
