And if you watched this last season you'd discover Jessica Sanchez, who is more talented than Demi, Miley and Selena put together And I haven't heard anything from the X Factor contestent from last year yet

american idol was good.... for the first couple seasons. now, barely any of the contestants have star quality and the past 5 winners have all been basically the same boring people xP i personally like x factor more but that's just my opinion :P

Yes I watched the auditions this time and then it got boring as HELL, its just the same and it never changes.

Adam Lambert debuted at #1 with his album a couple of weeks ago, Daughtry is huge on the rock charts. However I don't see how ANY show could produce a star like Carrie or Kelly, that's why Idol remains awesome. And also the winner of the voice sold 1000 copies of his album while last year's idol winner a million.
