Cornwall or Kernow as they would be known have wanted some sort of independence for a while but Yorkshire was new to me. They see themselves as separate which was the basis I assume. It'd never happen - tho who knows these days  - but I don't think ATRL realises things weren't all rosey and perfect prior to the Brexit.

I agree, I don't think there's any chance of even Cornwall seceding. Regardless of local identities, overall I'm sure most people see themselves as part of England.
I think more localised power across the country is inevitable though. I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. I guess it's what happens when you have an extremely long, complicated and varied history.
