Apparently the promoters down there didn't come up with the money in time for her concert to go ahead. ($$ for costumes, set design, lighting, travel expenses etc).
It's said that she even extended the deadline on when it was due, but they still couldn't, so she had to reschedule to beginning of 2017.

So I just did a little experiment today on Kool_Aid_King and asked him to listen to a song and if it reminds him of another song. He said "NO". Here were the two songs:
Yes. There is definitely similarity between the songs (TGIFY is better, just to add). If the producers were to sue someone, sue themselves cuz they sold the rights of the song. But it's not that obvious, and if it is the same, Mariah made some pretty great changes to the chords to make it her own.
I'm sad for Mariah that she's no longer marrying the money the love of her life, but heartbreak must be good for the writing process. If she is releasing an album next year.....
