Well I would hope so considering she performed in front of over 100 Million people earlier this year and is on tour promoting.

Hew said that?
I'm not doing this again. The facts are right in front of you.
I'm not the one acting like Circus was some huge worldwide hit when it TANKED globally, even after the huge success of Womanizer.
The funny thing about this is that I don't even like TTWE and much prefer Circus, I'm just not here for delusion.

I think TTWE will reach 3 Million eventually..............., the problem with her sales is that she only gets pop support, and even then TTWE still sold similarily to songs like What's My Name, Blow Me and WHYB which all had far more airplay and promo.
Rihanna promoted WHYB on SNL & American Idol and it's not even 2x Platinum yet, IWG had nothing.
I hope the first single sells like Womanizer though and has its longevity, we don't need another HIAM.
|
That's her problem. She doesn't really have a large solid base because she's a pop artist. If she was an urban artist doing pop the tables would look different.

So S&S will most likely surpass "Womanizer" by the end of the year. Interesting.

I agree.
TTWE also had more longevity outside the US:

http://www.danishcharts.com/showitem...rld+Ends&cat=s
And dinorel, how did Circus outsell TTWE in Denmark when TTWE actually charted in the year-end chart unlike Circus? I see you're only seeing what you want to see.
You can see the true success of a song in the Year-End charts, and looking at both runs it's clear which song was the bigger hit.

I didn't say it was a huge hit LOL ... it was a tanked hit that outperfomed "TTWE" PERIOD.
and delusion?
Actually I think you're the one deluded by wishing "TTWE" to be a bigger hit than "Circus" just because is from her most recent era and makes you think that she was more relevant during FF era.

Circus - bigger hit in the US
TTWE - bigger hit outside of US
Isn't it as simple as that, really.

And no dinorel, I'm very much aware she was more relevant in the Circus era.
Like I said, I'm just not here for delusion. We're done here.

At least it's not something so undignified as singing for about 30 seconds total, and at least Britney has had her own legitimate hits lately as well.

Her career digital sales are good. Her digital sales last era were pretty underwhelming and she didn't have good album sales to make up for that. The singles sold poorly compared to the "Circus" era, in the States and internationally.
The fact that "Amy" might end up outselling "Hold It Against Me" is just.

It doesn't matter if it goes her biggest hit in the US.
US is just one country and the song was released during the digital era.
the nice thing here is that despite being released during the physical era , "Baby one more time" still remains OVERALL as her biggest hit ever.
Her biggest hit of her career is still a Britney solo song , so don't worry about it
Its not karma , its not like "Moves like jagger" outselling Christina Aguilera's debut album

In Germany "BOMT" is still her biggest single
Baby one more time (single) is certified in Germany = 3x Gold
Before 2003 , Gold certification for singles in Germany = 250K
which means BOMT is certified for 750K copies in Germany, and those are really old figures , as of 2013, sales could be close to 1M mark there.

At this rate definitely not, but even if it had, the list is heavily biased toward digital age songs due to the lower state of physical singles sales in the late 90's and early 2000's when compared to downloads post-2005. It never reweighted to account for that, they just see a sale as a sale regardless of format.
