Even if Birthday flops, I don't see what's the big deal. The video was not expensive (def a low budget) and she already had two number one smash hits from one era, that's a dream for almost 90% of other pop girls. She won't have a Teenage Dream era everytime.
She's not dancing with shirtless hot guys on a pool, she's not doing this clichê. It's a original idea that resulted on a great music video. If its flops, who cares? The tour is doing amazing, so is the album. A few other albums left the Top 40 a few months ago...
And there's still Legendary Lovers and Walking On Air.
