I feel like after listening to _genic over and over the past few weeks, i've decided that it's just ok. The songs with the best melodies have the worst production. and the best production went to the more boring songs.
it's such a waste. the album gets so loud and noisy at times, i find myself getting annoyed
omg, yes. I feel exactly like this. the album is so noisy!

A ONE is definitely in Ayu's top 10. Poor Party Queen.
you just can't delete Party Queen from Ayu's top 10!
The backlash for _genic is real. I for one really like it, not as much as FEEL, but it's great
& I don't get the Party Queen hate. I thought it was great! The only songs that were tragic were Next love, eyes smoke magic, & serenade in the mirror I totally forgot about A ONE... Out of control was the only song I loved.
wooo WALK OF MY LIFE still holds up months after release poor Bon Voyage
True.

Namie's declined from Best Fiction / Uncontrolled, but like, she's still the top solo female releasing right now, and is bound to still be second if Utada's comeback is as big as expected...
I mean, she was the biggest girl out there and still has the best-selling physical single by a woman, went through a period of near-total irrelevance, and then came back as the strongest girl in the game for the last 6 or 7 years. She became just the third artist to top Utada on the year end charts after Kuu and Mika.
Honestly I'm ready to defend Namie against decline remarks for the simple fact that she shifted 200k without a single single. Superfly didn't do it and Kana sure as hell didn't.

The only thing is that Kana's held her own for a while and her new record had great longevity, especially for the Japanese market. I'm not certain _genic will outsell her.
But regardless, yes, Namie's opening week was hella impressive. Isn't it still the top female debut this year?
Just in case anyone didn't know Avex has uploaded of ton of PVs from Ayu, Kuu and other artists in full on Youtube. These videos are supposedly blocked in Japan so I guess it's only for us international fans.
